Aftercare

You will receive a written copy of this at your appointment, but in case you need this for reference, we've got you! Please follow the instructions below to ensure proper healing from the procedure:

  • MUST apply a thin layer of the given ointment twice per day immediately after cleansing eyebrows with water and cotton pad. Continue to apply the ointment for 1 week. The ointment is a protective layer that helps soothe any itchiness and dryness.

  • No sun tanning or swimming for one week.

  • No excessive sweating or work out for one week.

  • No soap, moisturizer, makeup, creams or sunscreen on the brow area for 2 weeks.

  • Do not rub or pick at the dry flaky skin, you can clean it with a wet cotton pad.

It is very important that you apply the complementary ointment for 1 week following the procedure. Apply with a Q-tip twice per day immediately after cleansing face.

What you will notice in the next 7-10 days:

  • Some itchiness and stinging sensation is normal for the first few days. To relieve the itchiness, you can apply the given ointment.

  • The strokes may start to form some dry flaky skin after a few days. As the skin heals, it is normal for the skin to reject some of the pigment and the brows might look patchy. This is normal and is all part of the healing process.

  • The color will fade approximately 30% - 50% when the flakes fall off. This is completely normal. Do not feel discouraged if the fading is more than what you expected. This is why the follow-up retouch is necessary to touch up the pigments again. After the follow-up retouch, your eyebrows will not fade into patchy spots. Eyebrows will stay on for 1-3 years depending on your skin type.

A follow-up retouch appointment is necessary and can be completed any time after 6 weeks from the initial appointment. Best time is between 1-3 months after the initial appointment. Anytime exceeding 3 months for the retouch will result in an additional fee.
